The 2019 Santenay Les Hâtes Rouge has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of wild berries, pencil shavings and dark chocolate, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy palate that's seamless and velvety, with a charming, generous profile and a nicely defined finish. It's a fine effort.

A lean red, displaying cherry, currant, plum skin and earth notes. Fresh and persistent on the finish, with a light astringency. Drink now through 2025. 140 cases imported.
