This is nicely rendered, with a mix of gently mulled red and black currant fruit entwined with light sassafras, vanilla and anise notes. Fruit keeps the upper hand through the finish as the other notes meld in. Drink now through 2026. 30,000 cases made.

Composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petite Sirah, 4% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Zinfandel and 2% Petite Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa rocks up with open-knit, expressive notes of warm cassis, blackberry pie and boysenberries plus touches of eucalyptus, dried bay leaves and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of juicy black fruits and grainy tannins with lovely freshness, finishing on a lingering minty note. 40,000 cases were made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Collection is a charming, well-made 2017 that has plenty of chocolate dark fruits, leady herb, and scorched earth and charcoal aromas and flavors. It's textured, medium-bodied, has some chewy tannins, and a good finish. I'd plan on drinking bottles over the coming 4-6 years.
